Coding – Teacher Workshop and Webinars

We are celebrating EU Code Week (10-25 Oct) with a series of free online workshops and webinars aimed at Primary teachers who want to learn more about integrating computational thinking and coding into the classroom.

Workshops will be more interactive and will run from 7.30-8.30pm.
Webinars will be more presentational and will run from 8.00-8.30pm.

Tuesday 6th October – Coding for Literacy at KS1 Workshop

This course will explore how Coding and Computational Thinking can be used to enhance Literacy at Key Stage 1 through a series of ‘plugged’ and ‘unplugged’ activities.

This taster session will explore Using ICT computational thinking skills through a series of cross curricular ‘plugged’ and ‘unplugged’ activities aimed at Foundation Stage teachers and learners.

Thursday 8th October – Games Based Coding Apps Webinar

In this webinar, we will take at look at the pros and cons of three popular game-based coding apps – Code-A-Pillar (Foundation), Lightbot Jnr (KS1) and Cargobot (KS2) – that aim to help pupils to learn code while having fun.
