CodeCraft 2017

This year we are pleased to announce that we will be running a range of FREE workshops focusing on coding aimed at both primary and post-primary children.

Where?  Nerve Belfast Creative Learning Centre
When?  3rd – 7th July  //  10am – 3pm.

On the day of the event, we’ll be open from 9.30am in the morning. We have a large car park on site. Children MUST be accompanied by an adult for registration. At the end of the day they must be collected, in person, by a responsible adult. Packed lunch is required.

Please Note: Registration via Eventbrite will only allow you to book one place, for one child, for one session at a time. This is to make sure people have a fair chance of registering a place on at least one of our workshops.

Gamers will be broken into teams and issued a series of challenges that unlock team points. The team with the most points at the end wins. All ability ranges are welcome but a basic understanding of Minecraft and an ability to work as a member of a team will be key. This promises to be a fun and challenging day that will build team work and communication skills.

In the process you will learn about 2D art, pixel art, programming, level design and basic game development skills. Challenge everyone else to play your game and make it even harder for them to defeat. Who will be the gaming master? If you are raving about retro, you will go potty for pixel art.
