Free CPD Training for Primary and Post-Primary Teachers

Into-film_narrow

In partnership with Nerve Belfast, Into Film are pleased to offer a range of free teacher training sessions centred around using film and animation in the classroom to support teaching and learning across the curriculum. The training for both Primary and Post-Primary teachers will fall into 2 main areas:

Film for literacy – Film is a powerful tool to engage young people, capture their imaginations and bring the written word to life. Our training demonstrates the benefits of using film as text to develop learners’ critical thinking, analytical and contextualisation skills.
Filmmaking – Filmmaking facilitates deep and active learning which enables pupils to develop a wide range of creative curricular and employability skills as well as supporting NI cross curricular assessment of UICT. In addition it can be used as a tool for gathering evidence of learning and for plenary and evaluation.

Please note: all hands-on training will be done using iPads however, the skills learned will be transferable to any other equipment that your school may have access to.
