1st Computing at School NI Conference


When – Monday 23rd June 2014

Where – Stranmillis University College (Central Building)

What – Presentations and Workshops tailored for both Primary and Post-Primary Teachers to inspire and encourage colleagues to present computing in school.


Keynote sessions from the EdTech Winners (2013), Gareth McAleese (GoBeserk), Roisin Crawford (STEM Aware) and Kerri McCusker (PhD Researcher, University of Ulster)

3 Northern Ireland participants from a recent U.S. Funded exchange program will share their insights from an intensive two week program which exposed them to global companies (Microsoft, Google), innovative educational institutions (MIT, KIPP) and game based learning companies (Emerson Game Lab, Bungie). With a focus on STEM and Educational Technology the participants will report on our insights and vision for the future of EdTech in Northern Ireland.

CAS(UK) Mark Dorling – Mark will be inspiring ‘Creativity in Computing’

Conference workshops will include Coding, MaKey MaKey, Raspberry Pi, Nerve Belfast Creative Learning Centre (Game Making) and much more.
